I am interested in purchasing a lift for my 76 CJ7 . Thus I have a couple questions.

1. Do you get what you pay for...ie: Rubicon Express$1300....Tuff Country: $700

2. All of my stock hardware and brackets are not going to be reusable is it possible to get a kit with everything? Do I need to purchase a suspension bracket kit from somewhere?

3. I have the back half of my Jeep cut off and am planning on chopping a flatbed body and mounting it up there...Do I need to do mock up before the lift or after (centering wheelwells and so-forth).

:chug: Thanks all!!!!

I think you do get what you pay for. I used the Rubicon Express lift on my Jeep. In my research, it was the most complete kit for the money. Other kits were less, but also had less as far as parts. I'm not sure how to answer your other two questions. You may have to purchase other stuff individually. Check a parts list for what ever lift you buy, it may have everything you need.

Keep in mind that if you are willing to cut up your jeep you may need much less lift to fit the same size of tire.
That is a good point...I am not going to be running anything over a 33...so I might can get by with less lift and more "hack"

I noticed online that you do get more goodies with the Rubicon. I basically have a rustbucket that needs a lot of parts thrown at it. I am just trying to save money where I can.
