If you put lift shackles on it can radically alter the castor. If you plan for that when they are installed they can be used, just takes a bit of work. Sounds like who ever put them on before you didn't do it right.

ya i think 1" throwes it of about 2 degrees and i had 2". anything above 45 was a hand full. my wifes brother had it before me and i have to redo everything he messed up. he redid all the brake lines and the leaked everywhere. calipers on the wrong side and wondered we he never had any brakes.

thats why he gave it to us. im alittle more i take that back alot more into working on cars than he is. but he did try.
