Installing a rough country 4" lift on my 84 CJ7 . With the spring lift, I also installed a 3/4" Rugged Ridge shackle lift. After installing the rear shackle I noticed that the eye of the spring is very close to the center sleeve. Has about 1/16" between the spring and center sleeve of the shackle. I don't have the wheels on, it's still on jack stands. I'm afraid if I put the wheels on and drop it down that the spring will touch the shackle center sleeve. I don't think I would have a problem with the front. The front shackle hole to hole is 1/4" off set. The rear are equal. Front are rugged ridge part #18265.08 Rear are 18265.12 Don't know why the rear are different than the front.

Pics would help.
I am reading it a couple different ways. either you think the spring eye will move around on its pivet bolt and come up to hit the center bolt?
Or, the spring is really long and has the shackle maxed backwords by the frame rail.
If you are on stands and the suspension is sagged. The shackles should be fairly up and down or even slightly inverte?
A pic would help..

i have the same, think RR shackles sux...mine actually started wearing the center sleeve(militry wrap part of spring).....shopping for new shackles...rough country were recommended, they have 3/8" plates...interested in what you do...pics also!

Warrior Products seems to make a solid shackle. It's got 3/8" sides and a welded block between. They're the closest I've seen to the 'ol Con-Fer brand.
