ok so i got the lift springs off craigslist lastnight but what else do i need ? they are suposed to be 3.5 inch lift springs so i assume longer shocks how about the pitman arm and drive shafts also swaybar links what else am i not thinking of ? thanks guys as always

where to start
new U bolts are the most important
Bushings for the shackles
not longer shocks but the correct length shocks, there is a huge difference, you will want to get those after finding out how much the system sits high and how much travel you have
bump stops, yep you just changed the amount of lift and you need to get the stops tuned so your new bigger tires do not dent your fenders
Brake lines, look under the rear of the jeep and see how the brake lines run, see if you need a longer line there, and the front also
you need to remeasure the drive shaft length and get at set designed for the normal length, full droop and full compression, just buying any driveshaft is not enough you need one that will stay in at full extension and will not kill the tcase at full compression
check your rims for correct backspacing for the tires you want and decide if they will work or you need new rims, that way you will save having to pay to have those tires mounted and balanced twice.
Oh yea, steering, need to see if the angles will fall into spec or if you will need longer drag link or a new pitman arm. Again wait till the springs are on so you do not spend unnecessary money or get them to long.
Sway bar links, yes those will change.
oh, once the springs are on you will have to measure for caster and get degree shims
That will be a good starting list.

Baja covered it all for you.
Good luck with the used springs.

i already bought new u bolts i realy am only concerned at this point about my driveshafts has anybody out there put 3.5 inch springs on if so did you have to lengthen drive shafts thanks guys alot

You kind of need to measure the C to C of the yokes after the springs are on, there is a possibility you may not need them.
Did you check the center to center on the spring bushing eyes to compare to the ones on the 7? just on the odd chance they are not what they are supposed to be? It would be a real bummer to take the old ones off and find they would not work.:(
