First I appreciate all of you guys help b/c I have been out of the Jeep business for 8 years now (since I was 18). Now I am back in and feel like there is all new stuff and items that are cheaper now than they were back then.

this go around I dont want the biggest and badest rock crawler, in words of "OLD DOG", I just want my CJ7 to look good or to be a mall crawler that can do some crawling if needed...

My last lift was a Superlift @ 4 inches and I thought it was a bit overkill for my 33" tires... I was expensive at that time as well...

This time I am thinking that I want 32x11.50 bfg m/t and mickey thompson(style: classic II) 15x10 or 16x10 size wheels... I think that this will give me a good look on that Navy Blue CJ7 ...

So in this sense what brand LIFT should I buy @ 2.5 inches?

Another note should I get 16 inche or 15 inch wheels?

I always appreciate you guys input!

I used a Skyjacker 2.5" lift on mine, but there are others just as good. I would just stick with good old 15" wheels, why go to 16" ?

There are so many kits available and everyone has a favorite! :)

I'm a fan of Black Diamond kits as I think they exceptionally well priced for what you get. I just bought a set of them for my CJ.

As for 15" or 16" tires and wheels? Are the tires you like available in 16"? I'm partial to 15" myself as I have always found a better assortment (in the rating I needed) in the smaller size.

I dunno about 16 I will probably just stick with 15...

Unless you have a specific need to change wheel size, like you can get free 16" tires :D I would just hang with the 15's then. The choice of tires in 15" is fantastic, and less costly in most cases.

Coldwater,

what size are your wheels/tires/ and lift? do you ever have any problem with rubbing?

My lift is a Skyjacker 2.5, and I have just a bit under 1" body lift. My street tires are 32 1150 15, and they do scrub just a bit on steering lock both ways. I'm looking for new tires now, and will probably go to a 31 1050 15 this time.

BDS has a great warranty, run it on the CJ6 , and no issues about steering like types of lifts

i have a pro comp 2.5". so far i like it.

I did alot of research and ended up with Old Man Emu. It's a fantastic lift, very smooth ride (even my wife likes it), and excellent flex. It was between OME and Rubicon Express for me, and I had another brand X 4x4 with OME before and new the quality was great. You might pay a little more but it's worth every penny. I let a fellow CJ7 owner drive mine 2 days ago, and he was so sold he ordered the same kit the following day. He has a Rancho lift now and didn't like it at all (way too stiff and not as much flex). He's going to do the OME suspension with a SOA and 36 inch tires.

p.s. I also told him about the forum and he said he'd check it out.
