Locking Fuel Caps

So, last weekend, I lost my Jeep keys , the set with the only fuel cap key. I tried to have that key made, and nobody could duplicate it.

Finally, success with a hair pin! I got the fuel cap off, and I now have a non-locking fuel cap . I saved the locking fuel cap with the hair pin in it as a trophy so my friends will believe me and my story.

I lost the key to my locking cap before also. I basically did the same thing - picked it to remove it.

But, then I drilled the rivets out and re-keyed it to work with my ignition key.
