Looking for a Fiberglass CJ7 TUBS/FRENDERS

JC Whitney for the fiberglass fenders, tube not sure.

Does 4wd.com no longer sell them? My tub, hood, and fenders are supposedly from there (PO installed). And I got replacement mounting hardware from them.

I had a 70' CJ5 with a tub, front fenders and hood made with fiberglass. It was from Shell Valley. It was great and held up well. The only thing I would do differently is to order a tub with the cutout for a tailgate.

The PO did the swap. But I am happy with the tub overall. I have not had any real issues with the fit of the stock parts. Other than maybe the driver door not :dung:ting flush at the latch, but that can probably be fixed my moving the pin in some. So not the tub's fault probably. The biggest thing has been all of the dedicated grounds I have had to run. I have a block under the dash that is now full of ground wires. I have heard of people having issues with the windshield, but mine has been trouble free. And mine has the tailgate opening and a glass tailgate.

Thanks. I am going to get it from shell valley? No problem with the hood being fiberglass ?

I almost pulled the trigger on the shell valley...but there are some killer deals on steel bodies right now and the time saved on installing steel vs. fiberglass it worked out to be a better deal in my mind...

The paint is what is killing me right now...main reason I was going to go with SV glass is the injected color. But I was told it will fade quickly...in the long run cost more...

So I am ordering my tub tomorrow and going steel...just waiting on a good body shop quote before I pull the trigger

I hate to say it but my next tub will be fiberglass. I have been through 2 steel ones and body work is not in my abilities. So I hate rust.

Where are you looking? New only come from one place overseas.

Cseoffroad.com

I got the whole body kit, hardware, seals, cross member, and bushing kit. I searched high and low for the best price knowing one place makes it. They had the best price I found.

Once I found the price I liked I called the place to ensure they are legit.

I talked to Gene the owner and he set me up with a deeper discount beyond the online price because I was buying alot.

I am going to buy everything from him, great guy and unbeatable prices

:oops:Like I said earlier, all the tubs are made at one place overseas. Take a look at this dealer and read what has to be done to get the steel tub to fit.
