As I save for the next big project what are some of the above that can be done? Let's put a $25 limit on it. Thanks tump out

The best low buck upgrade that I have done is looking for all the poorly done juryrigs that PO have done and fix them right. This is the first thing that will leave you stranded.

P.s. I have fixed about a hundred of these on my Jeep alone. Also look for maintenance that should have needs to be done leaks mangled wiring and missing bolts.

belts, hoses and vacuum hoses. :D

pull your plugs and double check the gap most people buy new plugs and just throw em in.

start saving that $25 so you can get a better upgrade.

Honestly I normally buy things a little at a time until I get enough stored up to do a big project. Also keep your eyes open at
Advance Auto Parts___

They normally have a ??% off and $?? coupon the next time you purchase. My $130 tire rod came to $107 shipped to my door. In 2 weeks Ill get a email with a $50 coupon so Ill order all my brake parts and make sure my order hits $100 then use the coupn for $50 off.

They also normally have a 20% off coupn code for any amount ordered. I know alot of people dont like them but they are close to me. Ill work on the jeep, make a list of stuff I need place the internet order eat a sandwich then go pick it up..

I second Jimbo. Look online for coupon codes. I sat in Advance Auto's parking lot and ordered my optima battery. After the 30% off and mail in rebate the battery was alot cheaper then buying in store! Like mentioned belts, hosed, including fuel and brake lines, fluids, bolts and nuts, are great starting points.

POWER WASH IT! Get rid of all that dirt, grease, and grime. Now you can see where it leaks and what needs to be fixed. Rod

Vacuum gauge is a fantastic upgrade, it will diagnose most all engine conditions, you can set engine timing and tune the carb with it as well.

Besides the vacuum gauge you can add an hour meter all for under $25. An hour meter is far more useful then a odometer on the trials.

Build up a good electrical grounding system! Thirty-plus years of dirt and strain have trashed the grounds on my '80 CJ7 . Some things that had never worked before woke up when good grounds substituted for old.

How much are truck nutz going for these days? :D
