Howdy, just when I thought I was on a role, another question. So I'm in the market for a Steering box mount. And was looking at M.O.R.E. but they have several versions.

The two that I am focused on right now are: SB7686 and SB7686-1 which will move your steering gear forward 1- 1/4.

There's also Rugged Ridge???

I will have a BDS 2.5 lift it that helps.

:)OK will first we know you have a 1976 CJ5 .....and that is all we know.

Are you replacing the Original Gear? are you going to Power? Are you just replacing the mount to get additional strength?
You say one mount moves the gear 1.250" and why would you want to do that?

It would be hard to make a suggestion without first doing some research on the mounts you have mentioned notwithstanding understanding what you are trying to accomplish?

Are you going with yj springs? is that the reason for the 1.25" mount?

IMO stay with MORE and stay away from ruged ridge.

What is the point in moving the mount 1.25" forward? I can foresee issues with that with possible radiator interference and steering shaft length, so I'm just curious. I have the regular MORE HD mount. Sturdy piece but the included spacers were too thin to match the shackle brackets. I also am using the 1" longer yj springs but I got the MORE mounts for those which have the 1/2" move forward built right in to them so no new hole is needed.

When the steering box moves forward it will move your steering drag link forward as well for more clearance between the drag link and the front diff cover
