I have a spreadsheet that I put together myself to track mileage. It tracks standard US mileage and Euro liters/100km. I could post a link to it and you could download it yourself if you want. I would have to adjust the formulas a bit because the odometer on my CJ is in KM and not miles but that is an easy fix. I keep it on my Google Drive so I can update it either from home or from my phone when I am filling up.

Log book for all my vehicles hangs right above my toolbox, easy to keep track of them all, and like Lumpy said, with no worry of a crash

I keep a log on the notes option of my cell phone to track mileage. Ever since my tbi conversion I can't trust the gas gauge so I know to be carefull when I get over 250 miles on my 20 gal tank. Been getting around 16 a gallon recently so no big issues as long as I'm mindful.

I use an app called "AUTOsist" from the Apple App Store. It can keep track of your maintenance, repair costs, fuel spent and MPGs. I think it cost me a few $ to purchase the app.
