Will master cylinder and booster from a 80s Cj with front discs work with a Cj that has 4 wheel drum brakes? I say yes if the drum brake proportion valve is used. Thoughts? Am I correct in my assumption?

Thanks in advance. I want to make sure before I sell it to someone and it ends up they cant use it.

The disc master cylinder does not have residual valves in it for the front brakes. Drum brakes require the residual valves. The booster will work.

:)Pete:

Purple is correct on the Residual Valves.........the MC Bore sizes will be different between the Disc / drum normally 1.125" or 1.250" and drum / drum usually 1.000"...........Should work fine just may be a little short on pressure.
What is it going into?
And was it a Power brake or Manual non power setup before?
Pedal ratio's are different between the two on the Factory Jeep swing pedals.
