Mu master cylinder is leaking, so I've ordered a rebuild kit. I've got 33's, and have heard I should consider a brake booster (all drums). So are they a good investment? If so, who makes a good one? I'd rather do all the brake work at once. TIA

To convert to power brakes, you need the booster and the master cylinder that goes with it, and the proportioning valve also.

I would look into disk brakes, at least on the front.

I agree with IO too.

That being said, I have 36 inch tires and manual brakes. They work just fine for me BUT i use my jeep mainly for the trails. If it was a daily driver that I was always driving in city traffic I would want power brakes. As is I can come to a screeching halt. It just takes more pressure.
Oh, and I have disks up front.

Well, maybe I'll wait on that conversion. What type of brake fluid should I use. I don't have then manual in front of me, but I remember it being some SAE type, not a DOT type.
