Does anyone have an recommendations for a mechanic in Georgia? I have a 78 CJ5 that I would like someone to look over and tell me what needs to be done to make it reliable. Any help is greatly appreciated.

That 5 does not look like it needs much! The driver may need a few years to reach the pedals and see over the steering wheel though.

I am in the process of finding a good mechanic to look over my 5 as well. I have gotten to the end of my expertise level and would like someone more professional to give it a look over so I can feel confident taking it on a few backcounty trips.

I am going to give J&L Auto a try in the near future and see what they have to say. They seem to have a knack for the older stuff. Will try to keep you updated.

I think mine needs more work than yours though.

Looks like that is a 2.5" lift on there?

Thanks. Overall it's in pretty good shape. I'm gonna try a place in Forsyth. I'll let you know how they do.
