Mighty FC
I'm not going to lie, I like FC Jeeps. Some jeepers laugh and point at their pug nosed odd ball brother from '57 to '64, but since my dad brought home an orange one back in the 70's to plow snow with they have always been a favorite of mine. Now Jeep is revealing a special concept truck version based off a JK. But more like a super JK truck, the Mighty FC is the perfect world vehicle in my distorted view.
From this photo from Phil Florida of Automobile, via Jalopnik I see a truck built off a JK tub with the grill pushed back to the gills. The axle is obviously a portal axle, most likely from Axletech as they and Mopar had a portal axle Jeep at Moab a few years back. Those wheels look like Hutchinson's and the tires are obviously BFG's. Power train is unknown for another week, but it could be anything Jeep, Hemi, Pentastar, or the new Grand Cherokee diesel, all would be great in a truck like that.
As a Jeep FC fanatic you can probably tell I'm more than a little excited about this. I'll be at Moab next week and maybe I'll drag my own old FC170 out there for a spin alongside this new-fangled super FC.
by the way, if you're interested in FC's you may want to check out the FC Round Up this weekend in Phoenix.
