Missing emergency brake

Doing a complete rear drum overhall on my 78 CJ5 .
When I tore them down I found the passenger side with the self adjuster cable and guide but not one on the driver's side. Is this correct, or should bothe sides have the self adjuster hardware?

Both sides should be the same. You cane go tou your local parts store and get a hard ware kit to fix it right up.
