Hello everyone,
I'm Lucas and i'm not really new to owning a CJ, to be specific my CJ is longer in the family then myself.
My parents bought it freshly imported from Florida in 1996 and owned it since. I was born in 1999 and when i turned 17 i started working on the Jeep just for fun. When my parents saw how much fun i had, they agreed, that i could have it to be my very own from now on.
This particular CJ was my parents first american car from many ('85 Firebird Transmission Am, '96 Tahoe, '95 Vandura, '02 Firehawk, etc.) and it survived them all. It was also the first car EVER to be registered in my name and i have many great memories with it.
Currently i am working on restoring it. The paint has been chemically removed and it has been cathodic dip coated. Now we will continue with the metal work and painting to return it to its former glory.

I'm looking forward to great conversations over here.

Nice greetings from germany

Nice, did you do the firewall?

It's been modified to set back the engine. An original CJ firewall is flat.

Well, :dung:! I am wrong... Early CJs were flat, not yours.

Oh, ok, no i actually did nothing. My CJ is almost bone stock. Matching Numbers V8 Quadra Trac. Only the Tailgate has been changed, except for that (and a lot of patchwork 😖) it is all original with every Body panel from 1976. The engine also hasn't been open since 1976, aswell as the Transmission . I even have the original Washer Fluid reservoir lying in a box. Trying to get it to as stock as possible. Sadly the Valve Covers and Air Cleaner are lost in time but i managed to get those from a 79. I'm also going back to the Motorcraft carb. Only Mods will be 2.5" Lift and 31" tires, aswell as a modern (Retrosound) Radio and CB.

The Frame will be Powdercoated and we want to use as little bondo as possible. Sadly in the meantime the front Fenders have been not saveable and they lost my VIN Tag on the Firewall with the chemical paint removal.

Also my Jeep originally came with soft doors, but i managed to get some late model steel doors.
