So my 15 year old told me she wanted the same model and year Jeep I had for my first car, for her first car!https://www.jeep-cj.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif So that meant the hunt was on for a 1983 CJ7 , 6cyl, hard top and doors. Actually mine had hard doors and a soft top, but close enough!
So, here is what I found. 1983 Jeep CJ7 . A little rough, but pretty good bones. Let the "restoration" begin! More photos to come as I make progress. Paid $4,000 as you see it.

Must be a glitch on my end because when I click on any of the links it opens my album, so I couldnt see your new toy. Have fun with it! Congrats!

I figured the same last night

When I click on them I get my pics

3 different folks with the same results, must be a site issue then.

I do not know what to do to fix it. I tried posting the pics from my "Gallery". Any suggestions from the admins?

I'll try this. Maybe it will work?

Looks like that worked pretty good. More to come. Working on a build topic for it now.

Looks pretty nice. I find it strange that it has a air cleaner for power brakes but the Jeep doesn't.

Looks like a very solid start!

WOW! She's lucky to have awesome parents! I had to buy my own vehicle, pay for my own insurance and maintenance. :(

Thanks! It’s part of the way we motivate her to keep her grades up. We made the same deal with her sister. I find it much more enjoyable to use a positive motivation rather than negative consequences for school grades.
This Jeep is hers to drive, but still belongs to me and her mother. If her grades are good enough, we will buy her her own vehicle, whatever she wants ($ limit) after graduation.

That's awesome! Wish all parents actually did their job and helped positively form their children! Too many are ignored or abused and left to fend for themselves! God Bless you and your wife for being a good example and for teaching her real love through actions! :)

Nice looking Jeep! Your daughter is a luck lady. Looks like a good deal for 4K. You may want to check out whats behind the diamond and side plates. Whenever I see that on a Jeep, I assume its covering up rust.

Be sure to check out the build of this Jeep in the build forum.
