Build Thread My First Jeep!

Hey Everyone! Psyched to finally be a part of the Jeep family... Well almost.

Just bought my first Jeep back in October as my 1/3 life crisis present to myself. A '79 CJ5 with the AMC 304 .

I still have not actually driven it yet. Talked the seller down significantly and ended up getting this hunk of junk for a steal. Needs a lot of work

Between all the machine work (Bored out to 310 due to nasty water damage), new pistons, new lifters, new cam, new crank, electric fan, new distributor, new intake manifold, and new headers, I am still under the original asking price!
I know I am leaving out some things.

I we have stripped it all down and are beginning the rebuild. Hold on to your butts!

This is my CJ7 . 1986, have it now for about almost 2 years now, its work in progress and I love it. This picture was taken on Veterans Memorial Day parade. I had the honor to be in the parade and drive a Veteran it around .
