RIP Mike, we'll all miss you
Well I've been having a bunch of computer problems the last month and a half. Three different computers died within days of each other, and my budget for a new one went to my bride since she is on deployment in Iraq (DOD civilian), and really needed a good one to keep in touch.
So after finally getting enough saved up for a new one, I got one last week. Let me just say the Dell XPS series desktops are a joke! My 2 1/2 year old Wally World special Emachine was much better for half the price...Ended up returning the XPS and buying a HP TouchSmart610 PC. Let me tell you, for a guy that only knows the basics about computers, but can get along OK, this thing is a dream!
The 23" screen is huge, but takes up almost no desktop space, since the whole computer is one piece (ala Macintosh, I think). The touch screen can work just like a smartphone, and the resolution is very nice.
If anyone is looking for a new computer, look into this one. I like mine!
