Bought this last February. Classic rust bucket. My wife thought I needed a new project to keep me busy. This was a hunting rig in south Texas for many years. The odometer was disconnected at 136K miles. all the lights were disconnected/cut, engine turned over but fuel tank was toasty full of the typical sludge and such. Discovered the carb was from a 70's CJ5 . Most of the emissions were disconnected, basically a money pit of fun! I hope to have it running this spring

sweet neighbor, very cool jeep please share your adventures with us, looks like yours needs a good bath to be able to see what you have left to work with. did she get salt spray rust?

I'm not sure of it's early life but it spent many years as a hunting rig in the hill country. Most of the body mount bolts were :dung:. 4 of the body mounts had to be reinforced/replaced with new steel. rear cross member was completely roached...and so on... They don't really use much salt in San Antonio. I'll assume the rust was sitting water and mud in all the wrong places.
