well the time has come to pull out the harness in my wifes dj5 postal jeep ,its full of dead shorts and got to go. The replacement came out of another old postal jeep so I dont know what Im in for yet but Im sure its not going to be a walk in the park ,I have no history of this wireing as for shorts or any other issues so basicly got fingers crossed and going in blind :rolleyes::censored: All I can do is pray it works out good :notworthy:
 
Label and pull each wire.
Then label and match your new harness to the old.
Then the install should go alot smoother.

If the old harness is craptastic look into a universal wiring harness,
in some of the hatrod mags. The universal kits are fairly cheap and
each wire is labeled ever few inches.
 
Painless is not painless when you go to pay for the products they think are gold plated
EZ wiring is a lot more cost effective

Not to hijack your thread but you might want know.Where do you buy your termination ends from for the dash lights switches and such.

well most of the nightmare is over now I have to run 4 wires from the brain to the dohickyabob by the dist :eek::censored:
no this was no walk in park with a used harness next time ill get a ez wireing kit
