mystery VIN '85 CJ7

Hello Gents,

I've had my '85 in the shop for a while now waiting on some repairs to be done and I've been trying to figure out why my VIN doesnt match any of the websites guides for VIN ID.

Here it is as best I can tell:

IJCUM87E1FT...

Its the fourth digit that has me confused. According to the sites that should specify engine:

B = 151ci
L = 232ci
C = 258ci
H = 304ci
F = Diesel

I've stared at that digit for a while and its definitely a U, maybe a D.

Any thoughts? Or did the boys in Toledo just stamp one wrong?

To add, it also came with a 4 speed(5th character 'M').

Thanks guys! I didn't even realize that engine was an option in 85.

The engine in my jeep appears to be a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l straight six painted blue. weird. Need to figure out exactly what I have since it isnt factory.
