Nice

Looks serious :notworthy:

those are some serious rocks..

Locals call this trail Damnation Alley and for a reason. We ended up with a tj rubicon with both rear Dana 44 alloy axles broken by the end.

That's crazy. I was just reading another post about Dana 20 improvements vs replacing with a Dana 44 ...I am thinking Dana 60 now. :bang:

It has a lot to do with how you drive, and tire size. I've run this trail a couple times when I still had my 20 with no problems. I've also seen 60's get broken running it.

Easy on the skinny pedal. I can see getting hung up in there a bit and someone wanting to power out. Probably the guy who named it. :) Looks like low gearing is key for sure. Your trail tires are 35s yes?

Your right the 2 broken axles came from trying to bump (or maybe I should say power) a rear tire up a big rock instead of taking a different line.
I was running the 33's on the 20. I'm running the 35's now but with the 8.8 :)

:)Dog,

That is some pretty country, Nice Jeepen!.......is that rock Limestone? Interesting I even see some old oil pumps out there.

Nice trip
:D:D:D:D

Some limestone and a lot of sandstone. The area has a lot of natural bridge formations.
There is alot of old oil pumps in the area, some are still being used.
Most of the trails are old oil and logging roads on private land we have permission to ride on.

:)Dog,

Yeh!, that's a neat place just for the site seeing.............not even the fun of wheeling.............so they call that area Natural Bridge? Place looks like a Park.
:D:D:D:D

tarry, There is a State Park there called Natural Bridge where alot of the rock formations are.(no wheel'n in the park)
We just refer to the whole area as natural bridge or Slade which is the closest town.:D
