I know a dropped pitman arm is not the best route, but it is the best for me now
What arms off of factory other jeeps or other vehicles will fit my 76 CJ5 non power steering.

I got one from something the other day and my splined hole is smaller than the one I picked up

Help me please

Well I just dug through all the usual spots and unable to find the one that I know I have.:wtf:
In general there are 2 spline sizes, manual and power but to add to that there are also diff size ball end tapers so be carefull going outside the Jeep family. If I locate mine I will get back to you, my cj came with one and I went power.

Oh wow I really appreciate you looking for me! My angle is really off and I know that is contributing to my bump steer and what not. Please if you find it let me know.

If anyone knows of another place to get one from, would love to hear it!!!

I'm not sure if I have a manual box drop pitman arm, but I will look when I am in the shop next...

since your SOA why not look for a pair of used high steer knuckles and do it right

I would love to find that but I was betting on a pitman arm to get me closer to right. Great Idea and a new post coming!

If you look at the "can't do over 50" thread and pix you can see that a drop arm won't get you where you need to be.

I agree fully Old Dog but better is what I am shooting for. I can run mine over 60 if I wanted to just doesnt feel to stable and from what I read it is from the angle... so a drop pitman arm will get me better, if I can find the alternative you suggested, I will surely go that route.

I do enjoy reading these knowledgeable posts, but sometimes there is an overload of info here. In the price department and availability and the just making it better every day department, the drop pitman is my next logical step in attaining my "better" unless the knuckles fall from the sky similiar to these offers of finding the drop pitmans! :notworthy:

 You never know, I got a pair from a jeep guy for $25 when he was having a garage sale.

anyone have any luck? Trying to get one under $50
I have dug through everywhere twice with no luck, I had one and don't remember getting rid of it.:dunno:

A pttman arm? which one is that anyway? The one from the steering box?
