I bought a set of Dana 44 axles off a guy that are SOA. It also came with an anti wrap bar but the brackets were cut off of the axles already so I need a new set of brackets. I don't have the equipment to manufacture my own. Anyway I'll try to attach a pic to this post. It looks just like the one from samsoffroad but holes from center to center are 1/4" different. Mine are 6 5/8" and theirs are 6 7/8".

I wonder why they were cut off the axle. Anti wrap bars often limit articulation. I am not familiar with samsoffroad but I found the kit mentioned on this link:Sam's 4x4 Store
sound like you already found the site. It looks like the axle brackets are not even drilled so I don't see a problem with buying what Sam already sells and making it work. It would take a bit of fabrication. I would call around locally to find someone that could do it.

Even buying the kit as Sam sells it would require some fabrication so I wouldn't expect a bolt on solution anyway.
I'm interested in how this works out so keep us posted. I mentioned articulation and noticed the important link allows for quite a bit of twist.

Do you have the crossmember?

Oh, now I notice their web site says:

We recommend this traction bar for light duty applications. An example would be a rig that has 33 inch tires running a spring over powered by a stock 6 cylinder motor. Anything more and you will need the Sam's Offroad Heavy Duty traction bar.

So it sounds like they have different models. I would call them up and explain what you have.

Your bar sure looks like the "medium duty" Sam's bar. Can't be a coincidence given the gusset shape/placement, etc. Perhaps an earlier revision.

Ruff stuff sells just the brackets, not sure what the offset is on the holes but you can probably call them and find out:

Worse case scenario just buy some brackets from tuff stuff or sam's, weld up one of the holes, and then redrill it in the proper place for your bar. Or cut your bar half way through by one of the bushings, hammer another 1/4" of length into it by bending it at the cut, and then weld it back up.

I have the Sam's HD bar on my YJ. It works well although it does limit articulation slightly despite the front joint. I have mine mounted to the belly skid instead of using their crossmember though, because it was just the right length, but this is on a YJ. Not sure if it would work attached to a CJ belly plate.

Thank You I'll check in to that and see if I can find a workable solution. I wasn't planning on using Sams crossmember piece anyway. Hopefully I'll just be able to attach it to the belly plate.

:)Sounds like you need new brackets on the rear end anyway.........tell Ruff Stuff what OD your rear tube is and they will either make a set to your dimensions or sell you blank ones that you can drill yourself................don't try to weld up a hole in another bracket and then try and drill next to it.........even cobalt drills don't like drilling next to a welded area the metal is to hard.........If you have to use a bracket that is off by a 1/4" drill out the errant hole in a larger size and have someone make a offset bushing and then weld it in place.
