My CJ7 currently is sitting on what appears to be to shocks that are to long for the suspension "Put on By the PO" basicaly there is not any shock movement if you put weight on the chassis my question is how do i find out what size shock to use for the suspension i will post some pictures later but for now my Shackles are 3" from bolt to bolt. Also my leafsprings are roughly 44" from mount to shackle with five leafs with shocktubes between 12-14 inches i do not know what kind of liftspring is on but as it sits right now there are 31" inch tires on and i have roughly 6 to 7 inches of clearence to the fender. can any one help.

Nice Jeep, It's hard to say from that angle. IMO I'd say 2" lift .

We need some better pic's of the shock set up you have now. Nice jeep.

I am curious, would measuring from the bump stops to the top of the axle tell you the currant lift on the suspension? I would think that it would, but if your springs are weak/sagging it would not account for that, say if it had a 4in lift, that has sagged down to a 2 in lift, it would tell you about the 2in, but that could possibly account for the shocks being compressed.
Good springs, bad spring, either way a beautiful machine:drool:

Yea I've heard of a similar problem and the guy who had to this problem had to get the shocks changed, as there was no other option...
