I'm currently working on rebuilding a '65 CJ5 body tub. The Jeep sat outside for almost 20 years and some of the floor panels are rusted out. I have seen floor boards that cover the sides out to the edge of the body, but the panel I cant seem to find is the one that covers the Transmission and the ~2ft gap right above where the tansmision/Transfer Case and bellhousing would be. I would appreciate any help finding one or seeing what you have in your Jeep.
Thanks and Happy Fourth!

Not much help here. I have not seen any reproductions of those floor pans Probably will have to source them from salvage yard or jeep specialist. If you don't need original maybe fabricating new ones would be possible. Good luck and keep a lookout for donor jeeps. Mike

Hello, you might want to check out Classic Ent. I have used them for all the new sheet metal for my 1960 CJ5 . They make some really nice floor pans. You can see them on my build thread.

Classic Enterprises does not offer the floor pieces that he is looking for. They do however make some nice replacement panels.Check with the jeep surplus yards, etc. The guys at Woodys 4x4 in Vanc. Wn. may have something. Mike

:)Well those panels are pretty bad...........First off there should be two panels that makeup the largest portion of the floor one top and one bottom as shown here on my 1965 floor panels....your Transmission panel the small one that goes around the top of the Transmission looks fine.
I really doubt there is much chance of finding those aftermarket but anything is possible.........the Jeep wrecking yards having any early CJ parts are getting to be a thing of the past. Craigs list maybe to see if you can find someone parting out a CJ from about 1960 through 1971 the sheet metal should be real close.
If your changing transmissions the top portion would more that likely have to be modified anyway.............might have to build what you need.

we need Rommel Juan to jump in on this thread. He could probaly hook you up through a dealer.

Jonathan, If you do or don't find the pieces you need check out the big 4x4 swap meet in Puyallup,wa. on about march 11, 2014. Lot of parts and not to far from your home. I may go myself if the weather is good.
Good chance of finding non rusty parts as were away from that area of the country a bit. Mike:D

:)That's a great Idea...........I'm sure he is building those panels for the complete tubs they are selling.........he is supposed to be in Oregon in the next week or so at some 4x4 shows showing off his products.

sounds like a plan. Rommel where are you?

Thanks for the input guys. I'm somewhat surprised that no one sells these online. I found the lower part of it today off Craigslist for $10 so now if I take the top part of mine and the Transmission cover and add those on this one I can do some fabricating and make a decent one without too much trouble. At least until I find a better one down the road. But now my foot won't be resting on the Transmission , so that's a start!

The link I gave you to Walcks will probably help. Im not saying he'll have an aftermarket one , just a solid replacement. :)
