1969 CJ-6 - As far as I know everything is stock. It was a National Park Ranger vehicle up at Mammoth Cave and it will become an ACJ-6 (Gunship-theme Jeep)
I have a 69 CJ6 with stock steel wheels on them. The current tires have great tread but as they have sat in a field for somewhere between 10-20 years, they have a LOT of dry rot. A buddy of mine gave me some tires that he had on his Wrangler, but I'm trying to figure out if they will even fit. I know that I can't just swap the whole wheel out since the lug patterns don't match up. I really want to keep the stock wheels anyway. The current tires are Interco Swamper H78-15LT and the tires he gave me are Bridgestone Dueler A/T 30x9.50R15LT 104S.

Thanks

Nice 6. I think you should be fine. I just put some 31x10.5 15s on my stock rims. The spare was a H78 15 like you mention. So your 30X9.5 15s should fit. But maybe there are better opinions out there.

Thanks, I appreciate the info. I was wondering if they would be too wide, but if you got your 31x10.5 on there, I guess these would work. I don't plan on keeping those tires on for long, I just need something on there so I can drive the 6 home from the shop without worrying if the tires will explode on the way!

I agree with gr8dain
They should fit just fine.

i have 31x10.5 on my stock rims with no problems.
