Hello folks, could you please post some pics of your 2.5 lift (sping) with 32's or 33's and what lift you have. Also the size rim you are running.

I have narrowed my list down to 2.5 lift but toying with 32 or 33. I would like to use a 15x10 rims.

Thank you.

2.5 inch Y.J. lift springs and 32"x10.5" Pro Comp tires.

IO- love the hardtop/door setup  I need that setup for jungle excursions.

I would say the chances of you finding a top like that on your island are slightly worse than winning the Texas state lottery.:D
It is kind of cool, and very heavy.

I believe 10" but not sure, I'll check and let you know. They were on it when I got it and I never looked.

Thanks for the thread and the replies. This is exactly want I want to do with mine.

33s are doable and 33s are safe and the drive train will handle them with no real problem. I will say to whoever will listen I enjoy driving my CJ more with the smaller tires. It handles better and is more stable in the turns etc. I think my rims are 10", stock is 8 is it not?? I do remember they are 2" wider than stock and most of the 2" is offset. The offset is the most important thing about them.
IMHO!!!:D

Thank you everyone for your info. I have cut it down to 32x11.50- BFG Mud's. I'm leaning towards the 15x10 setup, looks cool and gives it a nice stance. I'm now on the fence with Superlift or BDS. I've read the Skyjacker is too soft.

Now...does anyone know of a site that has combo deals on Wheels and tires? Thank you again.

I have just installed the Pro-comp 2.5 lift on My 82 CJ7 . I also just put on 33x12.50x15 BFG KM2 Mud Terrains I put them on 15x8 Mickey Thompson Classic Locks. It is a little stiff but it was easy to install. Good Luck!!!!

Are you running wide or narrow track axles?

I believe they are the Wide Track. My Jeep is an 82 and they were used from 82-86. I did craw under the Jeep but I could not locate the correct codes. But I am pretty sure it has the wide track. Sorry I couldn't be more help.:chug:

WOW :notworthy: What a difference lift, tires and some rims have made.
I've just received my 2.5" springs in the mail yesterday so I can only hope my old girl will scrub up as nice.
I'd love to see more photos - Post lift.

Here are a few more!!! Best of luck with the new lift!!! It will make it look like a new Jeep. My next step is to get this thing back to its original color "Black" I can't wait!!!:chug:

Great thread. Thanks guys. I believe the 2.5 is what I want. Am I correct in assuming you only needed longer shocks...no new pitman arm, shims, brake lines, etc. How does it drive and handle compared with before? :chug:

I got a great deal on mine it was a Pro-Comp Lift and I got it around Christmas and they offered a $250 Rebate almost half price and with Free Shipping. You may want to wait until the Holiday weekend next week and see what specials they got going. The kit I got had the shocks included. I can't really say how much different it drove because I had a bad upper ball joint and a steering box that had 200,000 miles on it. The thing was all over the road. I am getting the upper ball joint done now, I replaced the steering box last weekend and it was much better. The only thing I noticed is it has a much stiffer ride, my wife thought so also. I don't really mind it is just a weekend toy and something to play around with. Currently I am still using the stock pitman arm. I hope to get it back tomorrow, after the front end alignment and ball joints are replaced. I would definitely check to see if they have any rebates or free shipping, it helps a lot!!!! Best of luck and post pics!!!!
