Hey guys...I see so many pictures out on the web of jeeps that look great...have that perfect lift / tire combo...but tend to never have the specs or recipe they did to accomplish that look. So I was wondering if I could ask any and all that would like to participate to post some pics of their ride and give simple details as to what they are dealing with...what size lift and type...what wheel & tire combo...etc. I have always heard that 33's with a 4 inch lift is the classiest look...but what does a 2.5 inch suspension lift with 32" tires look like. So...this could be fun and I would like to see what kind of combinations are out there. Appreciate any and all. Thanks!

i put 4" rough country onit..i need shocks and all, plus a slim budget...and it had 33x12.50 on it...i like it but wanna get 15x8 rims instead of 10s....sorry first time adding pic??

Thanks Guys...keep them coming. Great looking! Thats exactly what I'm looking for. I really appreciate the help.

How can you choose a tire suspension by how it "looks"??:wtf:
the tire size is very much related to the gear ratios in your drive train and what will give you the best performance for what you do. the lift is pretty much to give you room for those tires.
So starting at the beginning what is your drive train and what speed would you like to drive at?

Here is a hint, if you have a T-150 Transmission with a D200 Transfer Case and a 2.73 AMC20 , you will not be looking for a 4" lift and 35" tires with 15x12 inch rims.

Don't buy tires like your wife buys shoes, "I know they kill my feet but they look so good".:D

I definitely understand what you mean...but also feel that most of us don't buy a vehicle just as a means of transportation...but feel there is a touch of aesthetic to it as well. I'm not completely sure on the gear ratio...I have a stock 77 CJ5 Renegade Levis...with Dana 20 and T-150 . I am still on the front end of trying to figure out what I want to do with it...have considered taking it back completely original full restoration...but like many am also considering a visually more aggressive look. I see many that have the same AMC 304 T-150 combo that says stock axles like mine that are running 33's and 4" lift with apparently no issues...maybe a little squirrelly on the highway. I have no interest in going to a 35" tire as this will be a mild wheeler but want to also drive it the 15 miles to work every once in a while too. I totally respect what your saying...just looking for different set ups...because there are many...then work from there and make the changes I need to make to accomplish. thanks again.

Here's mine.. 4" Superlift with BFG 35x12.50x15 on 15x10 wagons..

And gearing will play hell with your engine power output... trust me.

But, it does look good!!:D

im running a stock drivetrain with a 4 inch superlift withe the addition of lift shackles in the front to about 5 1/4. also running 33s on 15X8 wagon wheels

Mine is 2 1/2 in. springs and another 1/2 with aftermarket shackles. I cut the wheelwells out to fit Tj flares and gain alot more tire clearance.
