Well I finally did it I walked into Archies Off Road to discuss lift kits and ended up putting some money down on a BDS YJ conversion kit to replace the worn springs and shocks on the CJ. Looking forward to doing this and I will be posting some pictures of the upgrade.

I received a call from Archie's that my lift kit was in. ;D

The plan is to start installing this tomorrow

Definitely give us a ride quality report. I am looking at this system for my scrambler project.

From what I have read those double wrapped spring eyes can help with spring wrap. A problem that I have with my ProCraps, i'll have to see about getting a set of those.

I built a set of traction bars pretty cheap. Def. fixed my problem with wheel hop on pavement.

What shocks comes with this BDS kit,
I was planning on going with this kit as well,
I love that life time warranty,
But I want on road ride quality

is that a BDS shock, bc I was curious about the shocks that came with the kit, I really want to hear how it handles on and off road,
will help me decide

Yes it is a BDS shock. I will be writing a report once I am finished

After fighting with my Jeep(Some parts haven't been lining up right) installing this lift kit I have hanaged to change the front bumper distance from the ground to the bottom of the bumper from 21" to 28" this was supposed to be a 3.5" lift and I used 1 3/8" shackles. Will this distance go down when I lift the back up? This is a spring under lift.

My next question is about brakeline extensions has anyone used these or is there something else I should look at.

Crown Performance Products IFT-RED - Crown Performance 5 Layer Custom Extended Brake Lines for 77-81 Jeep® CJ5, CJ7 & CJ8 Scrambler with 4.5-6" Lift - Quadratec

Russell PL7781CJNT - Russell Stainless Steel Brake Hose Kit for 77-81 Jeep® CJ5, CJ7 & CJ8 - Quadratec

Goodridge USA D-FBL-41 - Goodridge Braided Stainless Front Brake Hose Kit for 76-81 Jeep® CJ-5, CJ-7 & CJ-8 Scrambler with 1"-4" Lift - Quadratec

IIRC I have the Russell or maybe Earls on mine, anyway the have held up well.
And I would think the front would drop a little bit when you raise the rear.

 How's it comming?

On my extended hoses up front, I was having an issue with the brake lines hitting the tires so I installed carb return springs to hold the brake line. When you purchase the lines make sure they are D.O.T. approved. I once saw a set-up where the hard lines to the front brakes were mounted under the frame allowing the use of oem type flexible lines. I would love to see a pic of that new suspension.

I have the kit installed my rear shocks dont reach the mounts on the new spring perches. I took it for a test ride and can't get it to go above 30 MPH. What did I do wrong or what didn't I do?

Are you saying that you did not get long enough shocks? and the test ride is too rough after 30 m.p.h. ?

The shocks came with the kit right?
What happens above 30?

Yes the rear shocks are too short yes they did come with the kit. I am Limited in speed by engine RPMs I can drive around town in third gear and never have to shift except to back up.

might be a dumb question but you didn't put the rear shocks on the front?
I know the front and rear are different lenghts on mine, but I don't remember which is longer.
I have no idea what a lift would have to do with the engine running different.
