Hey guys...I just put a 2.5" Rough Country lift on..in addition to new wheels and tires. I noticed that the rear axle is not centered in the wheel well like it was before. But also noticed that the shackles are almost verticle, where before they were extending back on the rear and forward on the front. Do you feel like that is the reason? Because the springs haven't relaxed yet? Once they break in...the shackles will extend more backward and, in theory, center the axle better? thanks.

I think you are right.
With the shackles straight up like that it's going to ride like :dung:
I hope they relax for ya.

Is it the axle or just the differential that is off to the side? The AMC differential is not on the center of the axle.

Drive it for a few weeks and see if the springs settle. For lift springs, the movement of the axle fore or aft (for the front) is quite common.

OK let's think about this - you've lifted it 2.5" and the spring length and locator bolt in the center of the spring are the same as OEM.

Of course it's going to come closer to the front of the wheel well. Load that spring with weight or a tie down strap and bring it down 2.5". The wheel will now be centered. It pivots from the front spring hanger.

Give it so time to relax and it will get better.

Bottom line: Don't worry about it.

Thanks guys...I appreciate your help. Will let it relax some...I just needed some reassurance. thanks alot!
