I just finished the PS conversion and now I want to put a 2.5 inch lift and dual exhaust . Is there any order I should do this. Will I need to install the lift before the duals or visey versa or does it really matter??

It doesn't really matter which way you install it. The lift won't interfere with the exhaust.

^^^what he said^^^
IMHO I would do the lift first, that and a new set of 31's and it will be lookn good.

Thanks CJKrawler , thats just what I needed to hear , now on the spare change to see which one I can actually afford

Thanks Old Dog , I got the 31's , just need the lift now and then exhaust. Any experience with the Pro Comp lifts?

can I ask why duel exhaust on your six?

I running dualies on the 3b only way could be run with the headers with out interfering with the drive shaft
and yes glass packs

Basically just for sound and looks. I heard a six with the dual outlet headers and flowmaster 40's and it sounded pretty good.

If you have heard me preach before on this then skip over. Your I6 is never gona sound like the Old dogs V8 and if you ever want to acctually make your I6 perform the first order of business is a 4.0 head and guess what? your AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l exhaust is now useless for the most part because the 4.0 head will not use the AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l header. Just want you to be aware of that.

Thanks , I think I had read that somewhere before or you may have told me. Not really planning on any engine mods , except the Weber conversion of course but thanks for the heads up .

Neither was I ;)

How true

I think you will have better power with a single exhast with a good performance muffler.

That would definitely be a cheaper alternative. Do you recomend still going with the headers but with the single outlet? Also Ive read a lot on here about the FM 40's , what is your opinion on these mufflers?
While I got your attention :), any good word on the Black Diamond 3 inch lifts?

Yea I have heard good things about the black diamond lifts. Once again though no personal experance.
Alot of people like the FM 40's or 44's, I got the hushpowers but there is nothing hush about them, they are pretty loud.
Oh yea almost forgot, you can still go with the header, it will help some.

I think you may have just talked me into staying with the single pipe with headers and FM 40 or 44's. :chug:
I like what Im reading about the Black Diamond 3 inch lifts but will I need a drop pitman for the 3 inch lift?

i have a pro comp 2.5" lift. from what i can tell they are alittle stiffer but no where as bad as a ruffcountry lift.

I hope you get a better ride than I did. The procomp was very stiff on my Jeep. I ended up pulling it and getting the black diamond lift.
