Ok, I sprayed all the mud off. Not sure where to proceed from here. @ spots on the frame need welded. Needs rust cleaned so I can paint (sandblasting too expensive). Wheels need to come off so brakes can be cleaned/replaced. Still a lot of grime to scrape off some parts. How do you figure your gameplan?
 
I always look at the items that contribute to my / passenger safety first. Ascetics are last on the list... :)
 
I start by pulling the body off.. Sounds crazy but it allows you to get to the frame and do some really good cleaning and repairs. With the body still on you cant get the torch of the welder into the area under the body and end up not getting a good weld on your repairs. But that might be over kill. If not work from the brakes up. Liek the other comment said.. if its not safe to drive why fix the rust.
