:)Unclear..........your first sentence is confusing. Do you have power or not? If not the ratio in the steering gear is all you have...........if you were able to find a slower or ( more mechanical advantage) Gear box then it would take far to many revolutions of the steering wheel to complete a turn.
If you have power now and at slow engine speed it turns hard, you can normally get the pump pressure turned up.
But, since you did not list your vehicle or engine type......not sure what your working with!

:D:D:D:D

People have installed steering quickeners from dirt track cars, backwards, so it increases the number of turns of the wheel for easier steering. But in general it is good for off-road only. It sucks on the street.

It is not that difficult to swap over to power steering.

:agree: Youd be better off sourcing the parts to swap to power. You'll need the resivor and mounting bracket , the two correct power steering lines , a power steering box , the coupler for the steering shaft and a pulley for the harmonic balancer if yours only has a single groove. Look for a box from an 80s Cj so you use the lines with O-rings to prevent leaks. IOPort51 just put power steering on his. Its a little different than the set up I mentioned
