Factory Locker?
I have a '97 Wrangler Sahara TJ. This is a completely stock Jeep except for the tires, which are 30s. Whenever I stomp on the gas both tires turn on the rear end. I thought maybe the previous owner installed a locker, but there are no outward signs. There aren't any lines from the rear housing or switches anywhere to be found. So I thought I was just crazy until another Jeeper was following me on a trail and asked why I had my locker on while on this very minor trail. What's going on?inline_mediumwraptextright27007822/techarticles/154_0911_november_2009_tech_questions154_0911_01+readers_jeep_tech_questions_and_answers+rusted_jeep.jpgTrue

You have a regular locker. Back in the stone age lockers used to just work. they were not electrically, cabled, or air operated. You most likely have either a drop in locker like a lock right or a full locker like a detroit. Tou may even have a very good aftermarket Limited slip which is why you might not notice clicking or ratcheting on the street.

Soooo, just ignore this. I wasn't aware that this was an article link since I looked at it through new posts. :bang:

Your not the first one to do this and I'm sure you will not be last... :)

I dont pay attention to forum locations half the time. I just hit new posts and read away. Hell, I moderate a motorcycle forum so you would think I would notice things like that. Oh well.
