I just bought an 83 CJ7 with an Offenhause intake on a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l and it threw off the belt alignment on the power steering pump. Has anybody ever had this problem? The simplest solution I see is putting a different pulley on the pump. Has anybody tried that?

Which way did it throw off the bracket- towards the radiator or towards the firewall? If the bracket is now too far back, couldn't you just put some spacers in there to push it closer to the radiator?

I don't have an Offen, but I used a couple of spacers also. Ace hardware have the exact sizes I needed

Is this on your AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l engine? What was the Offy part number and manifold type?

I've got an Offy. Tons of room though between the pulley and the rad. Is this what your talking about?06dceee01270efe4a08c1d5b029b8d52.jpg

That's exactly the part I was thinking about.

Do you want pictures from different angles? How can I help?

Here's two from the side. Keep in mind my engine is tipped back a bit due to lift.d0299e5e88aa33d95b9eb20ca7275349.jpgd090715b2b87aa703851860f7945c0c9.jpg
