Any info on these springs and where is the best place to buy would be much obliged.

I got mine at 4WD. Bought only the springs, not the kit.

I'd buy them again.

I just bought 4 from quadratec for $98 a piece and the bushing to go with them for $22 a spring. I'm converting mine over to the yj springs so I bought 4 of the heavy rear springs (CS036R) because I have a winch and aftermarket bumper on the front and a hardtop is on it 7-8 months of the year.
Can't comment on their ride or flex but from all I've read theres nothing better out there.

My experience with mechanical non adjustable shocks says you cannot have both ends of the shock spectrum be it rock crawling,trails or streets without a compromise.
Point is pick a shock that will work for what you do the most of with your Jeep.
A lot of Jeep people tend to "Over-shock" there ride and although it might make a great rock crawler but on the street not so good.

I'm running TrailMaster 3" lift shocks only becase I had their 4" lift and the shocks rarely ever moved - so they were fine when I went OME.

Here is the response I got from ARB when I inquired about OME springs for my CJ5 . It answered a lot of my questions. My plans for this summer is springs and rear disk brakes

Hi Terry-
Funny you should ask. One of our employees that works in purchasing just
did this conversion on his 81 CJ7 . He used CS014F springs on the front but
his is the Iron Duke 4 cylinder. With your V8 I would recommend either
CS036R or CS037R springs at all 4 corners. The spring rate is the same, but
there is a 20mm difference in arch. The CS037R's are the lower height
springs of the two at 185mm primary free camber. The CS036R's are 205mm.
Both have a spring rate of 188lbs per square inch. I have attached a picture
of the CJ7 so you can have an idea of the height with CS036R springs in the
rear with close to the same set up as yours. The tires are 30x9.50-15. Hope
that helps.

*Keep in mind the OME springs were designed for the YJ Wrangler and we do
not offer a "CJ kit". Any kits you see on the market are kits that have been
put together by a retailer using our springs as the basis. Some use our
bushings, others use all kinds of different pieces to make the conversion
from late CJ springs to YJ springs. We can't offer much support on the
"kits" as we are not the ones who put them together.

Was that reply from TR Burris? He seems to be the OME wrangler to Jeep conversion guru. I was amazed the other day when I hung my rear springs and then set the axle into place, at how much springy-ness was there. It was like a beds box spring. I could make it dance with one finger pushing on it. That was with support under the frame. Once I supported the axle then it stiffened up.

Hole & 73 - I ended up going with Bilstein 5100 shocks. I got a great deal at Christmas time for $69 a pc. delivered! Couldn't pass it up.

Sorry I missed your original question about shocks. Mine came with the kit, not sure of brand as theres no name on them :dunno:

Was that for a four in lift? I was thinking of doing the same thing. Since your post, how is your review on them? Do you like the setup?

No, that was the 2.5" lift. It'll probably be close to a year before I get to try them out. My build is progressing slow. I just started assembling things on the frame about 2 weeks ago. I have the two rear springs hung and the rear axle in place but that's it so I can't yet comment on their ride.

Ok, thanks. I was thinking of swapping my springs. I have a 4 inch lift on the CJ now. I would just be going to a softer spring. Mine works ok, but it is nothing special.
