Thank you

I bought a new frame last month that the PO had a SOA started. I am putting it back to spring under with a new suspension because it was going to be to high for me which I thought would be unsafe. Also there is a lot more to do and understand to do it correct that I didn't want to deal with. Not being a pro on the SOA told me to leave it alone for safety reasons, but you can research on here and learn a lot, and I'm sure the guys on here that do know will chime in.

No haven't had the chance to drive it yet. I'm not formiluer with SOA, but I can tell it needs a drop pitman arm to bring the tie rod parallel to the drag link and the springs are stock. I think when a SOA is done, they usually beef up the front springs. Also the trac bar looks to be homemade.

Here's a picture of the back axle

That track-bar scares me just looking at it, why does a Dana closed knuckle have a track-bar or a Wrangler with a closed knuckle?
And the tie rod angle is to high like you said.
Need larger picture like Torxhead said, and more, pinion angle from behind the front passenger wheel to see the DL, a full head on, a few shots at the knuckles to see the caster & camber, etc...
Is that front tie rod end welded or is that road gunk covering the threads.

I do have to apologize about the pictures, that's all I have at this time. The jeep In Question is a '67 jeep commando.
How hard would it be to remove the SOA and replace with a lift that raises it to the SOA hight?

Looking at the pictures you have, your front axle still has one of the OE spring perches, so if they are all there, and the shock plates & u-bolts are still good, flip it back.
Still need more pictures.
