Given that the front Rubicon Dana 44 still uses Dana 30 outers and thin wall tubes I wouldn't.

It would be better to find a good set of real D44s and put them under the CJ.

If you go to the Rubicon, get the TJ, not the JK. TJ jas the better axles, better turning radius, and the better engine.

fook that get the LJ, trust me I have one and would trade.
But the cool factor of the CJ7 is hard to give up.

My dream is a CJ8 and from the frame down a rubicon LJ.

Why sell the cj?

Why sell the cj?
I would love to keep the CJ (It's one of the cleanest around)...
BUT : F150 , EXPLORER , CJ , AND A RUBICON is FOUR vehicles; ONE TO MANY
I am about to talk myself out of this one due to the $17,500 price on a 2004 rube with 44,000 miles. OUCH...:bang:

IMO the only real advantage is the cushie ride.
I don't see any advantage in the drivetrain, you can put lockers in the cj.

My better 1/2 likes the idea of a cush ride, and a/c, and cruise, and real heat, and c/d players, and automatic, and ETC! ETC!
BUT WHAT DOES SHE KNOW ANYWAY ?:D

You'll regreat selling a classic for a fad. They are to hard to come buy in good condition. They may need a little love but we all do and we all like a little love. Love your CJ and be proud to show her off. Put a little money in it and Keep it.
