Mine is original Silver. Still in fairly good shape. Good patina :)

Not only do I not have any original paint, I can't say for sure I still have any original parts...... possibly the radiator and heater box......

 I believe that's the way my 79 is going to be. It's already got a good start and I haven't touched it yet.

Lol on the radiator. I would not say that it is one of the first things that gave out on my jeep, but I got a LT guarantee on one at the " zone" a long time ago and they have handed over probably another 15 over the course of time. If and when I get my rebuilt upgrade drivetrain in, I'm going to get a good radiator and get away from these chinee ones :chug:

I have original paint on my hood and the original Renegade decal... I've color matched the rest, but that will change late this spring. I'm repainting about everything. Same color, new hood with new decal.

After some thought, the back seat (that I'm more than likely not going use) may be original - I need to decipher the VIN plate to see. I also have a CJ hard top and doors that are period correct - I guess they could be original as well. And that's it.

I am still sporting original paint, decals, engine and entire driveline are still original also. .... just over 104k miles.

Mine is, except for the hood(don't ask:rolleyes:)and right side lower fender.
Looks OK for a 32+ year old OEM paint job. It looks even better from about 15 feet away.

Still original paint

Wondering what I should do to protect it. It has been parked in a garage since '88.

Keep it waxed and out of the sun when not in use. If you don't have a garage get a good cover for it.

Thinking that I will put a good coat of carnauba wax on it. The panel seams and edges will need some protection for sure.

I have used Turtle Wax on mine since I brought it home 32+ years ago.;)

Pretty surprised that this BAJA yellow paint on my '71 Renegade II buffed out fairly well.I believe it was stored inside when not in use. Mostly all original. Looking for a few parts to make it as original as possible. It is original paint unrestored.
