I'm fond of the early Willys trucks. I had 3 of them, 2 during high school and 1 when I was in the AF. Rugged monsters, ugliest trucks on the road, but I love 'em!
Nice. I like them big time. I like the Fc's also. Not many people do. I think the butt ugliness of them is their appeal. The only vintage Jeep I ever had was a 49 Cj 2a. It was lifted with 35s and a 302 ford with the stock drivetrain behind it. The guy sold it to me cause he was sick of blowing transmisions. . The frame was pretty well shot and I ended up selling it with a good frame when I got divorced.
Funny, I had a '47 CJ2a in high school (that the one that started this addiction!) It had a 327 Chebby in it backed by the stock drivetrain. Blew 6 transmissions and 4 transfer cases in the first summer..Got pretty good at rebuilding the old T-90s for a while there.
I agree. The CJ is the greatest and best of all the Jeeps. Yeah I know the company claims there are other models, but what can you expect from Auto Execs!
I had a 5 & am looking for a 7. I really want a FSJ J series. Real stump pullers. I love the CJs for looks & ridin', but I want a J series for a hunting vehicle. Put on a cap & sleep in the bed.
