I've decided to go with flat black for the exterior color. Enamel? Was lacquer used originally? I'm assuming you can wet sand/blend enamel just like lacquer? Any suggestions, experience, advise would be appreciated.

Don't you wet sand to slick the paint and geta glossy finish? We painted aircraft with flat paint and it was rough. You really can't get much laquer any more. Most all paints are enamel

Go to eastwood.com to buy your paint pretty good paint and a good deal too. I've got alot of body stuff from them. That's where I'm going to get my rat rod flat black. Been told they have a clear coat that makes it so you can keep it your paint flat.

I used PPG products on mine. The urethane is a tough paint. Not certain about the flat finish though. The paint store will know....
