Passenger steering knuckle leak?

Ok not sure if this is suppose to happen or not, but had to take the whole brake assembly off my 62 CJ6 to do some repairs. As I pulled the bottom two bolts off the backing plate, I am assuming, some kind of gear oil from the knuckle oozed out onto the ground. Probably only about a half cup worth. Anyway, is this seperate oil from the front axle and should the oil be coming from those bolts or should I be looking for a bad gasket?

Your 62 has a closed knuckle D27 - right? It is common for them to leak around the seals as they wear.
