Performance Automotive Group’s project Jeep JK Wrangler

Chino Valley, AZ - The Performance Automotive Group’s project Jeep JK Wrangler has been upgraded with a variety of aftermarket products, including a prototype trail master Long-Arm suspension system, which is still undergoing preliminary testing. “This Wrangler has served as a platform for evaluating many of our Performance Accessories, OR-Fab and trail master Jeep products,” says Chris Faustmann, of Performance Automotive Group’s R&D. “Now we’re taking it to the next level, and it’s been built to test the extreme limits of our new trail master long arm suspension kit, as well as our own off-road abilities.”

The Jeep JK was already outfitted with OR-Fab’s, Sport Cage, Rock Rails, Side Armor, Stinger Front Bumper and Sheet Metal rear bumper. But it also has a Performance Accessories 1-inch body lift and just recently received a new pair of Currie Rock Jock Dana 60 axle housings that are outfitted with 35-spline chrome molly axles, 5:38 gears and ARB front and rear lockers. A PSC Ram Assist steering unit was also added to help maneuver a set of BFG 38x14.5 KM2 tires that are mounted to a set of Raceline 17-inch diameter beadlock wheels. A set of Bushwacker flat fender flares replaced the factory units and four KC Highlights Slimlites were added to the front bumper. The Jeep’s power has also been upgraded with an MBRP stainless steel exhaust system and a RIPP Supercharger kit that nearly doubles the horsepower of the Jeep’s 3.8 liter engine.

“We are anxious to take this Jeep out and see what it can do,” says PAG President Steve Rezek.” “You’ll see it at this year’s Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah, and featured in several magazine articles too.” Additional information, build-up articles and photos will be published on Performance Automotive Group’s blog at http://perfautogroup.blogspot.com.
