The nut holding the pitman to the box is not tight enough, the arm is moving a little causing slop. Does anyone know the socket size of this nut? I am going to round it with pliers!

The nut 1 5/16". Torque spec is 185 ft/lbs. You need a long cheater bar or impact wrench.

Thank you! Got a socket then realized it was 3/4 drive. Hopefully my neighbor has a ratchet that big!!!

If all else fails a pipe wrench will do wonders to fit and not round over the edges. That is what I always use to remove the pitman arm bolt along with a long cheater bar.

Got a 3/4 to 1/2 adaptor tightened her up then took back the tools. Am I a bad person?

Maybe! Working on a Jeep you always need tools! You might need those same tools down the road!
