Hey guys, I have a question about my motor. I have a 66 cj6a all original and numbers matching. I was checking to see if my motor was seized and it wouldn't turn over. I know the Transmission is shot but I'm not sure if it out gear as the shifter won't move. Would that cause the motor to not turn over? Any help would be great.

If the Transmission is shot, and the shifter won't move, you won't be able to rotate the motor. Assuming it is in gear.

If the clutch still works, (need to check with a helper), hold it down (helper is good here, too) while turning the motor.

This will disconnect the motor from the Transmission , and make rotating the crank possible, if it's not seized.

there is no way you are going to get by without de constructing this machine into its component parts.
