I'm in the process of converting my CJ7 from manual to power steering. I mounted the pump today and I expected it to move so I could put tension on the belt when I put it on, but it really doesn't have any travel. What am I missing? How to you put tension on the power steering belt?

Thanks

there should be two bolts on the backside of the pump that go through the bracket. When loosened, you can adjust the pressure on the belts. I usually use a nice crowbar to gain leverage on it while I tighten down the bolts.

Thanks, i will check that out tomorrow
