power steering/disc brakes

Hi All,
Just joined the site from the UK. I have a 1962 willys station wagon totally original but I find the steering and brakes just a bit scary on our little roads over here !! I have been told that a front axle from a CJ7 is a direct replacement thus giving me power steering and disc brakes, is this so? If not can anyone help before I end up hitting something!! Many thanks.

The spring pad width is the same at 28". You'll have to crawl under your truck to measure the axle width to see it if close to the Dana 30 's 56" width.

Even if the axle swaps out you are still a ways off from ps and pb due to the completely diferent Ross steering in your willis as well as the frame mounted brake master cylinder and pedal.
If originality means anything to you I would suggest rebuilding the sytem you have and you might be surprised, I know I was with mine.
