power steering posibility

OK..I'm sure this has question has been around many times before, but I seem to run into different answers.
I have a 78 CJ5 with a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l . I am wanting to convert from the
GREEN ACRES steering to power steering. What is my year and model range to use?....Do I have to stay in the 76+ CJ models or can go with the later model Wrangler models and so on. I know the brackets have to be in the same ballpark, but how about he pump and gear box?

Thanks CJ .....I found a gearbox and pump from an 87-95 Wrangler YJ for a good price.
Will this work on my CJ5 if I use the oem mounting brackets?
